20 Prestwick Ave is a beautiful tree lined street in Jan Juc. The project was a knock down re-build, and the allotment has a great North facing backyard. It was important to maximise the natural sunlight’s exposure on the dwelling. Therefore it was evident very early that a double story would be required to minimise the footprint, and maximise space for the terraced rear Northern yard.

The scope was to use the fall of the sloping block which is unique to the estate and therefore a minimal cut
The intent was to embrace the sunlight and nature, offering little glimpses of the dwelling to the street frontage.
